Custom homes & new construction
Custom homes need an electrician who reads plans, respects the architectural intent, and shows up when the schedule says rough-in — not “when we get there.” Jigawatt Electric works with builders and homeowners across Calgary, Cochrane, and Rocky View County who care about finish quality.
Rough-in and coordination
Before cable goes in, we align on fixture locations, switching logic, future loads, and data or low-voltage coordination. That means fewer change orders when drywall is up and tile is on order.
We label circuits clearly, protect penetrations, and think about inspection paths so your project stays on track.
Lighting and architectural support
Pot layouts, feature lighting, stair runs, and exterior soffit details all benefit from early decisions. We can work from interior specifications or collaborate directly with your designer.
Dimming, control systems, and LED compatibility get validated before fixtures are purchased — not after the ceiling is closed.
Commissioning and handoff
At finish we test circuits, confirm arc-fault and GFCI protection where required, and walk you through panel labeling and any key shutoffs.
You receive workmanship you can see: straight runs, tidy straps, and an organized panel that matches the way the home actually lives.
